I work as the primary contact person between the Expro well testing group in Stavanger and Petrotech. As Petrotech is being more integrated into the daily business of Expro, I am involved in the planning process of most projects involving sampling and onsite analysis.
I also participate in tender preparations and marketing, and maintain contact with clients in the area.
Working with the integration of Petrotech and the Fluid Analysis Centre in Reading has also been a very interesting part of my work since the acquisition last year.
What I like best about working for Expro
Taking a direct part in the planning phase of projects, and liaising with the clients is a very interesting part of the job.
I also enjoy the variation of working partly with business development and partly with operations.
Having worked in the field previously I still do a couple of offshore trips each year, and enjoy change of routines. It also helps a great deal refreshing my practical knowledge, and not losing track with the field engineers.
My Expro experience
I worked as a sampling engineer/chemist for Petrotech from 1997 to 2004. I then worked a little more than one year as operations manager for a small local sampling company, before re-joining Petrotech after the PWS acquisition of Petrotech in 2005.
